The Vintage Marketplace Style is back!
The Jenkins family is bringing The Vintage Marketplace to the Springfield Antique Show and Flea Market in May! I am very excited about this, and will be participating again. The group of sellers in Tennessee were so fun and being part of the start up of this group is exciting. I look forward to the displays and see all their purdy faces again! I will post more as time gets closer, and list what I have been making for the show, previewing the sale!

A new day
Hello Sonja, welcome.
I am getting started on my best far-away client, Kathleen Hairston, project. She has entrusted me to do several pieces for her. I have been putting it off until the Vintage Marketplace show was over and now I am devoting my week to Kathy. Knowing that nothing else is on my plate to work on right away, I am going to WOW her with creativity. Now, wheres my coffee?

The Vintage Marketplace Weekend
Whew! What an awesome weekend. I am so tired and my feet are hurting but my heart is happy and all is good at home. My sister and Ellen were real troopers, kept me upbeat and were great motivators. Unfortunately, they were such great sellers and spokespersons for my jewelry that I was gone from my booth often and purchased too much. The sales were great and the feedback from the buyers was very positive; great jewelry, creative display, etc. Several people wanted to take pictures of my display, which could only mean .....two things; it was great or it was not. You decide.
Additionally, this is the only good picture ever taken of me.
I met some really great people at this show and have made friends with some of the most creative and supportive women I have ever known. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be part of the first Vintage Marketplace. I will be selling in Springfield Ohio at the May Extravaganza. The Jenkins family have to work out the details of the venue for the Vintage Marketplace location within the Extravaganza, and I will let you know as soon as I do, but I plan on participating for sure. I will be changing my business name; it will be......wait for it.....wait........
CADY
It is easy, simple, in your face, just like me. It is usually mispronounced, caddy, like caddy shack. Apparently the larger part of the population do not remember the fundamentals in their middle school english class. Cady, pronounced like shady lady. Call me Shady Lady Cady!
If you purchased something from me or the pretty Shady Ladies helping me, and you just now looked up my blog please leave me a comment on what you thought of the show and what you bought. Follow me for updates on the next new pieces I am making and stay tuned for more changes to my bid-ness.

Crispin Glover anyone?
I forgot to mention, on the way to DC to catch the flight to Frankfort I saw Crispin Glover. Know who that is? He was George McFly in the first Back to the Future, the dorky father. He was so cool he had to wear his sunglasses inside and during the flight, ....really....
Germany Pictures and yeah,....
Here are a couple pictures I took in Germany;
Sick of me mentioning my anticipation for attendance in the Vintage Marketplace show in TN? I must tell you every post, and other sellers for this show know why....
February 2-4, 9am -5pm. Be there.

Germany, wine and time.
Hello all. I made a quick run over the pond to Germany this past weekend with my husband. While there We did some shopping and...should I say...drinking. I actually drank a bit first, then shopped. Then drank more. Then stumbled back to the hotel. And by stumbled, I mean stumbled. German wine will kick your ass. My foot surgery in December did contribute to the poor pedestrian manners but the wine was the real deal. Anyhoo, I was lacking inspiration for creating new jewels before going to GE, now I am not. I went into a couple antique jewelry stores in Frankfort on Saturday and was beside myself. Seriously, it was almost like a religious experience(or what I believe would be a religious experience for an Atheist), I lost my breath on several occasions, afraid to look at the price tags. I did look on one occasion, and for that, sadness rained down on my newly colored hair. It is no wonder the Euro is in the shitter. I came home with a Steiff bear instead. I plan to return to the ancestrial homeland this summer, hopefully taking my sister Diencha, and shopping and drinking, and she won't tell me "No".
I'll post pictures tomorrow.
