Crispin Glover anyone?

I forgot to mention, on the way to DC to catch the flight to Frankfort I saw Crispin Glover.  Know who that is?  He was George McFly in the first Back to the Future, the dorky father.  He was so cool he had to wear his sunglasses inside and during the flight, ....really....

Germany Pictures and yeah,....

Here are a couple pictures I took in Germany;

My lover.  The "No" man.

Cool church in Frankfort, it had Gargoyles on top.
Sick of me mentioning my anticipation for attendance in the Vintage Marketplace show in TN?  I must tell you every post, and other sellers for this show know why....
February 2-4, 9am -5pm.  Be there.

Germany, wine and time.

Hello all. I made a quick run over the pond to Germany this past weekend with my husband. While there We did some shopping and...should I say...drinking. I actually drank a bit first, then shopped. Then drank more. Then stumbled back to the hotel. And by stumbled, I mean stumbled. German wine will kick your ass. My foot surgery in December did contribute to the poor pedestrian manners but the wine was the real deal. Anyhoo, I was lacking inspiration for creating new jewels before going to GE, now I am not. I went into a couple antique jewelry stores in Frankfort on Saturday and was beside myself. Seriously, it was almost like a religious experience(or what I believe would be a religious experience for an Atheist), I lost my breath on several occasions, afraid to look at the price tags. I did look on one occasion, and for that, sadness rained down on my newly colored hair. It is no wonder the Euro is in the shitter. I came home with a Steiff bear instead. I plan to return to the ancestrial homeland this summer, hopefully taking my sister Diencha, and shopping and drinking, and she won't tell me "No". I'll post pictures tomorrow.

Lisa is at it again!!!

Lisa from Urban Farmhouse, a fellow Buckeye heading down to the Tennessee show, has featured me on her blog!  Wow.  I am soooo flattered.  Shucks.  I gave her some pictures of some newly designed pieces, so head over there and check them out, along with her amazing blogging skills.

Did I mention that I am excited about the Vintage Marketplace show?

Please bear with me on this blogging thing, I am new and a slow learner.  I am showing my age with this social networking/computing thing, aren't I?

Tell me what you think...

I just talked to a dear friend of mine, she is encouraging me to stick with the jewelry making endeavor.  I am kind of in a funk, need inspiration or something.  Any suggestions?
Anyhoo, check out the latest pieces for sale.
Again, if you see something you MUST HAVE, email me or call me and I will make sure not to take it to Nashville (or to definitely take it if you will be there).  I can take credit card payments too,....so....charge it up!!!
Old carved Mother of Pearl buttons and crystals.

Rework with a delicate chain.

gold chain and wires, amazing crystal pendant.

Another rework of the center piece.  I think I like it better in a bracelet.

Victorian buttons, again.

Milk glass and bling!

I love this old shoe buckle and vintage crystals.  They are becoming so hard to find.

Springtime anyone???

Citrine and rosary.

Favorite bracelet so far.

So. that is what I have so far.  I have about 250 pieces to take to the Nashville show. Bracelets, necklaces, earrings and rings. Some are sets, mostly not.  I do have to say that every piece I have made is something that I would wear and I love each of them like a child.  Some are red-headed nieces.

Bringing my 'Tiquin Buddies!

I just got a call from Mansfield Ohio.  Not from the prison, thankfully.  My friend Terry Osborne will be coming down to the Vintage Marketplace to help set up, sell and shop!!!  We have incredibly similar taste in goods and her added input for my booth will be greatly appreciated and welcomed.  Additionally, if she can help with sales that leaves more time for me to talk with the customers about my jewelry.  Kathy Stantz may also be coming down and she is an asset too.  I really look forward to having the help as this show is looking INCREDIBLY LARGE!!!!  Check out the website/blog about the show, in the top left of this page (The Vintage Marketplace).  And, here are some more pieces I plan to bring to the show....

Agate and an old button.

Vintage glass tubes and old brass pieces.  Simple and cool.

All vintage pieces make up this multi strand bracelet, a mother of pearl tie clip makes the clasp unique.

Stay tuned for more pictures, more creations and more Vintage Marketplace news!
